The Museum of Contemporary Native Arts on the plaza in Santa Fe is always one of the most interesting things on my to-do list. Come along and see some of the provocative contemporary Native American arts on display, work that has a clear point of view, one that might make you a little uncomfortable.
I’ll leave you to your own interpretations, because, well, you’ll see.
Oh, the beadwork. Contemporary Native American arts use some traditional techniques but with a modern point of view.
There’s so much to admire about this one.
This one caught my eye. It might be my favorite.

I have no idea why this won’t insert right side up. In any case, I’d love to know what you think of these works of art.
Whoa. Not exactly my taste, but thought provoking for sure!

Not always comfortable to view, though.
WOW………these works are truly extraordinary. I would be hard pushed to pick a favorite. They are all so unique.
So much talent!
Wow! These were unexpected! I love the first couple, especially the first one. Also loved the abstract one (that gives the eyes a rest). The colours are beautiful.
