Contemporary Native American arts

contemporary-Native-American-artsThe Museum of Contemporary Native Arts on the plaza in Santa Fe is always one of the most interesting things on my to-do list. Come along and see some of the provocative contemporary Native American arts on display, work that has a clear point of view, one that might make you a little uncomfortable.

I’ll leave you to your own interpretations, because, well, you’ll see.

Beaded gas maskOh, the beadwork. Contemporary Native American arts use some traditional techniques but with a modern point of view.

    Thank you for letting me visit the art gallery with you. I have never been to Santa Fe. It was great to see some contemporary Native American artwork. Very interesting indeed!

    Wow! These were unexpected! I love the first couple, especially the first one. Also loved the abstract one (that gives the eyes a rest). The colours are beautiful.
