Since I may not do much posting from our trip, I’d like to leave with this thought:
I never in a million years thought that this would happen. That FLH would even BE interested in renewing our relationship. It never seemed to be an option, so I never went there.
But now that it HAS happened, in the most romantic of ways, we find that the years have just melted away and our interactions and conversations feel as comfortable and normal as they once were (only more adult).
FLH has decided it is the Wormhole Theory of Time Travel at work here. It’s complicated, but the bottom line is that apparently the two ends of time connect somehow through a wormhole. You can read the complicated explanation below, if you have the patience for it. I gave up.

Anyway, it turns out that dreams do come true, and every day I celebrate it. Thirty years is a long time to wait. But, as a friend reminded me the other day: God’s timing is always perfect.
I remember this old Crystal Gayle song, which says it best.
