Definitive holiday gift guide: something for everyone

December 1, 2016

holiday-giftsBooks.

One of my friends has a holiday tradition–she gives holiday books each Christmas. I was lucky enough to get one. But I also have one you can give for holiday gifts. It’s called Gnome for Christmas and it’s written by my dear friend, Diane Stringam Tolley, whose engaging writing I love. So what would happen if an efficiency expert took on the North Pole? It’s a unique and charming tale and you could win one by commenting why you’d like to be Gnome for Christmas. That’s right. And really, anything by Diane is worth buying, check out all her books online.

This is such a great gift book that i hope you’ll give it to someone special in your life. Like I did. It’s written by the publisher of the Chicken Soup books and puts together all of the wonderful life advice from the series. Just wonderful to read!

For the caregiver you know. This is a definitive resource that they’ll thank you for. I mean that.

Something for everyone.

I love this site. Check it out, here. I guarantee you that you will find holiday gifts for every single person on your list, the gifts will be different than anything else they receive and you won’t have to spend a lot of money, either.

For the dogs.

Make these for the dogs in your life.

For a man

OMG, it can be so hard to buy for a guy. But I’ve got just the gift idea:

Hard Rivers: The Untold Saga of LaSalle Expedition by Craig P. Howard II is a really interesting book that most men would love.  It’s the story of the re-enactment –by canoe–of the more than 3,000 mile voyage from Montreal to the Gulf of Mexico that was originally undertaken in 1680.  Some 16 teenagers and seven adults undertook the re-enactment in the mid 1970s and had massive adventures along the way. It’s a true story and a page turner. Something a little different for the guys in your life.

Make it yourself or with the grandkids.
